On the Road
I travel long distances quite often on the road. Thought I'd finally paint a road scene. Hope you like it!

For those of you who frequent my blog, I apologize for not having much work posted in the past few weeks. I was away for the first week and then caught a very bad cold. I'm still recovering but finally ready to paint again!

I've been sick with a really bad cold but I wanted to post a painting.
Although this is not one of my daily paintings, it is fairly recent.
I hope to get back to my regular routine soon. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Aside from getting the house ready (cleaning) for Thanksgiving I went to see my daughter's punk rock band play tonight (it was a great show) AND I have a terrible cold. Tomorrow will bring more busyness but hey. . . that's life.
I'll get back into the groove on Friday.

time off
We're going to DC for a week so I will not be posting as frequently . . . sigh.
I'm already panicking but I bought some new sets of colored pencils and I'm going to try to find the time to finish some drawings in the hotel. I may even be able to post a few.
The good thing is I'll get to take advantage of our national museums! I haven't been to the Smithsonian in years. My son will just love being dragged around the Concoran . . . he has absolutely no interest in art. I just don't understand why.
And the National Gallery . . oh my. They have O'Keeffe's "Jack in the Pulpit" no 4. She's one of my favorite painters. And so much more. Can't wait!
GREAT NEWS! I was selected by American Artists magazine to be their artist of the month! I'm still in shock. I'll keep you updated but I think it will be for the month of December on their website.
Please come back soon!
