A good friend of mine has been traveling to France for the past 2 years. Aside from other wonderful gifts she loads a cd with photos she took for me. I'll be painting some more of these scenes.

I've been working on this piece for a while and accidentally ripped part of it . . . I was being careless. The good thing about working with pastels is when such a thing happens you may be able to salvage part of the painting and it will still be "complete".

Daily Painters had a 'summer fun' theme for the day.
I used a reference photo of our porch when we stay in Maine for part of the summer.
It's lakefront property so there are always towels waiting to dry.
