shades of autumn daily painting

Although this is not a new painting, it has never been posted. I painted this autumn landscape last year and forgot to put it on the blog for some reason.
It is available for sale. For more information on this piece, please click here.

There are 2 days left to sign up for the free painting giveaway! My mother will draw the winner on Friday, May 2nd at 5:20 EST.
The winner will be announced Saturday (May 3).

For the time being my posts here and at my new blog will be duplicates. I'm sorry for the inconvenience if you subscribe to both but I promise that by the end of the week I will resolve this.

I have some other news about a new web shop. I don't normally advertise on my blog but my entrepreneur daughter Melissa (her friends call her Missa), has opened a great little shop devoted to the sale of beautiful sterling silver charm bracelets which she designs and creates.

Rather than writing about it more you can click on the image below to see her work.

p and j sandwich - WIP

I started this pastel painting before my hand injury and so I think it's just right to finish it before I start another, although . . . it causes me great anguish to work on. It's just so difficult to get the textures looking real.
I also have a commissioned piece to work on which will be finished on time. I had my doubts but the cortisone shot really made a difference.

It's Free Painting Day. You can view the choices at my new blog and more information on how to be the possible winner.

Some of you may have already received an update through the mailing list. I'm sorry for the redundancy. I plan on updating the rss feed to the new blog soon and you will not get duplicate announcements after that.
Thanks for your patience!

new blog address

Hi everyone!
It's been way too long since my last post OR my last painting. The good news is that I saw the orthopedic surgeon yesterday and she shot some cortisone at the base of my finger . . . oouuch! But in 3-5 days she said I should be as good as new.

In the meantime I found a new host for my main website and I also plan to move my blog over. I will change the rss feed for my subscribers so there's nothing you need to do on your end. I'm hoping that this change will free up more time for painting. Less web time - more work!
I will be sending a newsletter to subscribers once the change is complete. I plan to keep this blog open for a few months. If you are already a subscriber there's no need to add yourself to my new mailing list. I already updated it. You always have the option to opt out but I'm hoping you'll stay with me. I will be more regular with my paintings shortly.

If you visit the new blog you'll see that I'm going to be offering a free painting soon! A random drawing for the painting will be selected by my 93 year old mother.

I've been slowly working on this nude in oils during my recovery period . . . at a snails pace actually. Occasionally I switch to my left hand . . not easy since I'm right handed but I'm always up for a challenge. Holding a brush is much easier than a pastel stick with my tendinitis.
I hope to complete it within the next couple of weeks.
To my subscribers, thank you for staying with me.

Hi everyone!
Sorry I haven't posted yet. I'm still having problems with my hand but I am going to see an orthopedic surgeon next week. I sure hope she can help me! For those of you waiting on commissioned work I promise you'll get your paintings on time.
In the meantime you can check out my new blog dedicated to my future New Mexico painting trip.
(I'm still working on the design)

It's 70 degrees and sunny here in New England. Finally nice weather!
Please stay tuned. . .new work is coming.
